Crush The Competition Video Contest

Crush The Cometition Video Contest

Get out your gopro, your cell phone, your families video camera circa 1980, and your waterproof housing because we wanna see what you got! We don't care what you use as long as it's BALLER! By the end of this you'll probably have more hits than the yuma yuma guy and more respect from the flow community than Tony Hawk.

Each team will consist of AT LEAST two riders with at least one female rider included! Bodyboarding and flowboarding both welcome. (remember the more people you have the more ways you’ll have to split that dough, so you’ll wanna keep em small!) You have until Aug. 7th to submit your video where flowboarder magazine, Waveloch, and our video guru Jonathan Root will do the honors of picking a winner.

The vids will be shown and a champion crowned at the Vault Premiere Party Friday August 13th during nationals in Ogden, UT. Please do not release them to youtube or any other video viewing sites before the shown date. After all, you don't want the competition to see what you got up your sleeve.

Also please remember these videos will be representing our sport so keep it clean! No drugs, nudity, etc... It's gotta be new footy, don't fool us by putting together something we've already peeped on flowboarder mag a few times because it' won't cut it. RSVP and registration:

Judging Criteria:

- Technical Tricks & Style. This means style, smoothness, new tricks will get you more points, want to wow the judges do something that’s never been seen….  We also want to see the fun factor, not just tech tricks, sure a big flip will get you mega points, but so will busting a prone 360 on an alligator pool toy.  - Filming. Show us something new, new angles, POV, above the rider shots, be creative, this is a video contest, not just a flowboarding contest. - Overall & Theme. This includes all the little things that make a great video including lighting, costuming, personality, think outside the flow.  Can you juggle 5 apples on the flowbarrel, put it in your film.  Going on a flowboarding road trip, visiting several flowriders, chronical the journey. We want to get to know you and your crew, why you ride, what the flow means to you. Etc.  We want to see your face and hear your voice. These videos are meant to be entertaining so come up with a creative idea to build off of and tie into the riding sections. IT'S ALL ABOUT HOW YOU TIE IN THE THEME -Public Opinion. If someone who had never seen flowboarding before saw your video what would they think? Would they share it with a friend? This is the general census portion, and the initial wow factor will be taken into play here. Please send your requests, comments, or questions to jessica.ann.nichols@aggiemail.usu.edu or flowboardermag (15 points max) Technical tricks & style (15 points max) Filming (15 points max) Overall (15 points max) Theme (15 points max) Public Opinion With a total of 75 points possible
