NICK NGUYEN EARNS THE 1ST EVER TRIPLE CROWN IN THE A RATED EVENT # 3 ON THE 2009 WAVE LOCH FLOW TOUR AT RAGING WATERS, SAN DIMAS, CA

With 25 competitors competing in 10 divisions in 45 spaces in both Flowboarding and Bodyboarding, the A Rated event provided $ 1000.00 in cash split in the two Expert divisions and over $ 2000.00 in additional prizes and awards at Raging Waters, CA
The Bodyboarders were on hand to kick off the comp as 30 riders competed in 6 divisions. Victories going to Rebecca Pagakis in the Female, Daniel Tarapchak in Juniors, Brandon Huntress in Men’s and Donna Pagakis in Masters. The Drop Knee division, the largest of the event, was once again won by Nick Nguyen for the second comp in a row. Nguyen also dominated the Expert BB final for his second Victory of the comp and pocketed $ 250.00 with the win. Derek Hirata took 2ND edging brother Dane Hirata 3RD and Nik Gero 4TH respectively.
The Stand up Flowboarders had 15 riders competing in 4 divisions. Top honors going Daniel Tarapchak in juniors, Trenton Guinta in Men’s and Jonathan Root in Masters. The Expert was another unanimous decision as Nguyen earns his historic third Victory of the comp and another $ 275.00 in the process. Local Alex Brook claims 2nd and Alex Gero took 3rd and Jonathan Root in 4th.
The third event on the 2009 Wave Loch Tour witnessed another ground breaking performance by Nick Nguyen, earning Victories in all three Drop Knee, Expert BB and Expert FB and valuable points in the process. None of this would have happened if not for the awesome and generous support of Raging Waters and Mary Papadopoulos as well as the entire staff, sponsors and Wave Loch.
The Next stop on the 16 event Wave Loch FLOW Tour is June 6th at Miami, FL. It’s an A rated event with a $1000 Expert Purse to be split in the Expert divisions. Hope to see you see you there!! CG.
